Today is the day we go pick up our rescue puppies. There has been much debate in the household all week about what to name the 2 little balls of fur. After some wrangling from all 4 of us, we have decided on names that we are all happy with - Ghirardelli (Gia for short) and Xion (pronounced Sheeyon.) Many people think we are a little crazy for adopting 2 puppies, and they are right. We are a tiny bit crazy but isn't everyone? We are hoping that they will keep each other company. They are sisters after all, although they don't really look alike.
In preparation for their arrival we have been getting all the necessary items together: 2 leashes, 2 collars, 2 rope tug toys, and 2 squeaky toys (which I will regret I am sure!) We already have a crate from our last dog, Jake, that spent 14 years with us and went over the Rainbow Bridge in February.
